please “like” my Facebook page...
...particularly if you’re already my “friend” on Facebook. That is to say: If you’re currently following me on Facebook via my personal page -- which is www.facebook.com/maryannjohanson -- please “like” my nonpersonal Facebook page, which is www.facebook.com/mjohansonwriter. As of the end of 2011, I will start using my personal Facebook page for truly personal stuff, and will be unfriending anyone whom I do not actually, personally know, in the flesh, off Facebook, in real life. Don’t be offended. It’s nothing, you know, personal. But now that I’m an ocean away from most of my actual real-life friends and family, I need a better way to communicate with them about stuff that doesn’t need to be public, or that I don’t want to be public. I still love all my readers. And you’ll still get all the stuff you’re already getting from me on Facebook. But as of January 1, 2012, you’ll need to start getting it from www.facebook.com/mjohansonwriter. Thanks. UPDATE: If you’re not sure which page you’re currently following, refresh the page and look for the Futurama head-in-jar profile picture. If that’s the one you see, that’s the page you should be Liking. If you see a photo of me near the TARDIS console, that’s my personal page, and it’s the one you should defriend.
