watch it: picnicking with Luke Skywalker on Dagobah, from ‘Jim’ll Fix It’

Once there was a BBC kiddie show called Jim’ll Fix It. Jim fixed things for children by granting them their wishes. Apparently they didn’t even have to be dying of leukemia or anything to make their wish or get it granted, which is pretty cool. So one day there was this kid who asked, it seems, to have lunch with Luke Skywalker on Dagobah. And here you see it happening.

I don’t mind telling you, I find something ineffably creepy about this. Something to do with how Mark Hamill can’t decide if he’s Mark Hamill the actor in Star Wars or Luke Skwywalker the kid who went to school on Tatooine.

Gotta love the way he smooves into the promo for that new Star Wars film, The Empire Strikes Back.

And since when does R2D2 have the power of teleport and/or replicate picnic lunches -- or anything, really?

Hey! Is this clip suggesting that Chewbacca is some sort of double agent for Darth Vader? Why does he get the “Imperial March” when he enters?
