more tweaking at the site

You’ll notice that the main body of the content on individual post pages has shifted over to the far left of the screen, with the meta info about each post now off to the right of the main body.

Two reasons for this:

• It’s more readable. That’s how we read, from left to right.

• It’s more search-engine friendly. I hope. The actual content on each page is now the most prominent on each page (from a bot’s perspective as well as to our eye). This should help boost the site’s rankings at Google, which should be better than they are, and this is the last thing I can figure has been hindering them.

I know this will take a little getting used to for longtime readers, but I hope it’s not too jarring a change.
