things you need to know: if you are looking for a journalism job, the head of NBC News will be calling you soon!
This is even more awesome than the news today that VanityFair.com plucked its new film critic from right inside Hollywood. From The New York Times: NBC announced Monday that it has hired Chelsea Clinton to become a full-time special correspondent for NBC News. This is totally cool! I’ve been kicking around what I’d like to do next, too, and I can’t wait for when the head of NBC News calls me and asks me what I’m interested in doing! I’m so going to tell him that I want to spend three years doing an in-depth, episode-by-episode analysis of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s gonna be great. Lest you think Clinton got any sort of “special treatment,” look, NBC has hired lots of new correspondents recently: Ms. Clinton will become the second daughter of a president hired by NBC News, and the third daughter of a recent presidential candidate. Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of President George W. Bush, works as a correspondent for NBC’s “Today” show, and Meghan McCain, daughter of John McCain, is a contributor to MSNBC. I love the smell of meritocracy in the morning! Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
