London photo of the day: for the rich bastard at Christmas

While the rest of the U.K. -- and some of us in the U.S., too -- are finding a pair of plastic dice or a tiny rubber ducky in our Christmas crackers, the 1 percent get sterling silver egg cups and sterling silver sugar tongs.

These are real: I saw them with my own eyes in Fortnum and Mason tonight. You get six crackers in a polished walnut box, and the gifts inside each are made of sterling silver. Your price? £1,000.

And here I thought I went all out getting the nice crackers from Debenhams for £15...
