Sherlock returns!
It’s gonna be a double dose of Sherlock Holmes this holiday season. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are back as Holmes and Watson next week in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, but I’m even more psyched for round 2 of the BBC’s Sherlock, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Steven Moffat tweeted today: Sherlock returns, Sunday,Jan 1st, 8.10pm, BBC1. First the woman, then the Hound and then, of course, the fall... He’s referring at the end there to the episode titles: “A Scandal in Belgravia” -- which features Lara Pulver as Irene Adler (“To Holmes, she was always the woman...”) -- then “The Hounds of Baskerville,” then “The Reichenbach Fall.” Yippee! And there’s pictures:
I swear to God, I am gonna do my absolute damnedest to finally write up the first series of Sherlock before Christmas. Even if it means I have to watch it all again. The sacrifices I make for you people... (Alas, the new Sherlocks won’t air in the U.S. till May. I hope you will all support your local PBS station at that time even if you can’t quite wait that long for your first peek.) support
