Doctor Who thing of the day: Mark Gatiss in 1997, timey-whimey

I’ve been pretty particular about what constitutes a Doctor Who Thing and what doesn’t. I’ve avoided posting casting news for the show’s stars, for instance, because what they’re doing outside of Doctor Who isn’t really about Doctor Who.

Technically, this doesn’t fit my definition of a Doctor Who Thing. But it does sorta get some bonus points for playing with a timey-whimey vibe, even though it doesn’t know it. (Or does it?)

This was sent in by soilysound, who sets it up:

Here's Mark Gatiss guesting in a (pre Little Britain) Lucas and Williams sketch...he arrives about 2 minutes in -

Who he is dressed as?

And this was made in 1997!

Be afraid...

And here’s the YouTube clip soilysound included:

Not really Doctor Who... but it gives me a little temporal shiver.

(If you stumble across a cool Doctor Who thing, feel free to email me with a link.)
