So, are we supposed to get excited about this specifically because it looks like every other comic book action movie of the past ten years? That’s how Hollywood works these days, right: by ensuring that viewers aren’t challenged or upset, by guaranteeing something comforting and familiar?

I wish I was around at the time when caped vigilante stories felt fresh and dangerous. I guess I need to read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay again...
