watch it: “Raiding the Lost Ark”

Holy moly, is this an amazing piece of work! Jamie Benning of Filmumentaries gives us an entirely new way to look at Raiders of the Lost Ark, like a DVD commentary taken to the next level, interspersing re-creations of deleted scenes, chat from cast (and might-have-been cast) and crew, making-of footage (see Tom Selleck and Sean Young audition for Indy and Marion!) a running caption fact track, and more. I was only gonna watch a bit here and there to get the flavor, but I got totally sucked in. I love this movie with the fiery passion of a thousand suns, and I didn’t think there was more I could learn about it, but there is.
