Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your review of Barn of the Blood Llama is perhaps the most erudite account of the film I've read. I'm so glad someone got the verbal level operating in this project. Yes, it's blatantly chock full of visual gags. But I also wanted the dialogue to achieve a clever and "quotable" literateness not found in the physical or slapstick elements.
I appreciate your taking the time to watch the film and discuss its less obvious attributes in your review.
While it may not have been our intention, Barn does seem to have an MST3K destiny written all over it.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,

Glad to be of service. I'm looking forward (I think) to your next flick.

Your site is very cool. I am only an amateur, and do not pretend to be a brilliant movie critic. I'm actually an attorney and an ex-singer/songwriter, philosopher/partyer/kid, etc. I'm just having some fun with my own site, but I stand by my reviews (even if they are overly simplistic). I guess my attitude is that if I want to really go crazy analyzing God, life, etc., I read Nietzsche, Schopenauer or Dostoyevsky. I'm over that for now anyway. (Lately I've been reading about WWII, no doubt inspired by Saving Private Ryan which I loved). In any event, I see movies for a different reason. Sure, a movie should be smart, and get me thinking... but I am more interested in being gripped, visually stunned; I want a visceral reaction, whether it's laughing, crying or tensing up and pulling the stuffing from my seat. I rate movies on my impressions, and I leave the pseudointellectual stuff to you and Siskel. No offense or anything, because I think your reviews and mail, etc are great, interesting, etc. I just think too much all day at work to do it with movies too.
