ON THIS DAY: In 1961, Cuban exiles launched an ill-fated attempt to retake Cuba from Fidel Castro, invading at the Bay of Pigs. We discover the real impetus behind the infamous invasion in the recent satire COMPANY MAN -- it turns out an inept CIA agent and former prep-school grammar teacher inadvertently set events in motion as he tries to impress his demanding, social-climbing wife. |
