ON THIS DAY: In 1969, the Woodstock Music and Art Fair opened near Yasgur's Farm in Bethel, New York, four days of mind-altering drugs, mud, and free love -- certain rock musicians are rumored to have performed as well. The entire thing was chronicled in the 1970 documentary WOODSTOCK, in case you were there and don't remember any of it. |
