TODAY IS: Bastille Day in France, commemorating the storming of the Bastille prison by citizens fed up with the capricious rule of their royal leaders, which sparked the French Revolution. Charles Dickens's classic novel of honor and sacrifice during the Revolution, A TALE OF TWO CITIES, has been adapted for film many times, but the best is still the 1935 version, starring Ronald Colman, Edna May Oliver, and Basil Rathbone.
