ON THIS DAY: In 1908, the actor Rex Harrison was born; he died in 1990. Though he starred in more than 40 films, the role he is best remembered for is Professor Henry Higgins in 1964's MY FAIR LADY, for which he won an Oscar (and a Tony) for tutoring a Cockney flower seller -- Audrey Hepburn -- in the ways of being a lady. |
