ON THIS DAY: In 1862, the United States government first issued paper currency, in denominations of $5, $10, and $20 (though the bills did not become legal tender until a week later, on March 17, 1862). Those handy pieces of green paper are what Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson are after in 1995's MONEY TRAIN. The boys play NYC transit cops who concoct a plan to rob the subway train that collects fare money systemwide every night and, even worse, inconveniencing thousands of commuters in the process.
