A legend of the Old West, Earp's endeavors ran the gamut from saloonkeeper to real estate investor, but it was exploits as a gunslinger -- particularly his 1881 shootout at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona -- for which he is best remembered. Kevin Costner portrays the gunfighter, warts and all, in 1994's WYATT EARP, a sprawling epic with a dynamic cast including Dennis Quaid, Gene Hackman, Bill Pullman, and Isabella Rossellini.
