TODAY IS: The 22nd day of the month that was sacred to the Roman deity Mars, god of war and also, surprisingly, of agriculture. The planet Mars, named for the god, looms large in the imaginings of science fiction, including SF movies, including the nearly forgotten ROCKETSHIP X-M, from 1950. A MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 entry, this dated but unintentionally amusing flick is about a trip to the Moon that, however unlikely, gets diverted to the red planet.
