(By comparison, the recent drop on September 17, when the markets first reopened after the September 11 terrorist attacks, was only 7 percent.) AMERICAN PSYCHO, the black comedy from last year, takes place during the 80s boom years before the crash, when a bloodthirsty Christian Bale could go on a murderous rampage without anyone else noticing, so caught up were they in their own material success. |
