win a prize pack from the new film ‘The Lake House’ (now closed)

NOW CLOSED. WINNER: Edward. Click through for the winning caption.

WIN: a T-shirt, poster, and key chain from the new Sandra Bullock/Keanu Reeves romantic drama The Lake House

HOW: write a funny caption for an image from the film

THE RULES: If you have not won a prize in one of my caption contests or gimme giveaways in 2006*, and you have a United States or Canadian mailing address, you’re eligible to win. If one or both of those rules exclude you but you’re moved by the muse of comedy, feel free to send me a caption anyway — you might get an honorable mention… but let me know you’re entering only for fun. (*Micropatrons who’ve snagged some exclusive micropatron goodies are eligible to win one of these prizes.)

Oh, two more simple rules: 1) Be clever, be original, make me giggle. 2) One entry per person.
The romantic drama The Lake House opens on June 16, and to celebrate, I’ve got a prize pack consisting of a T-shirt, poster, and key chain to give away, courtesy of Warner Bros. Here’s the scoop on the movie from Warner Bros.:

A remake of the successful Korean film Sirowae, The Lake House stars Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves as a lonely doctor and a frustrated architect who exchange letters through a mailbox that bridges time. The film offers a compelling blend of romance and science-fiction as told by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter David Auburn and internationally acclaimed director Alejandro Agresti. Backed by the star power and talent of Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Christopher Plummer, and Shohreh Aghdashloo, The Lake House promises to be a film with moving performances and captivating storytelling.

Visit the film’s official site.

To enter to win the prize pack, send a funny caption for this still from the film:

Edward’s winning caption: “I was Bill. No, Ted. Bill? Man I’m gettin’ old.”
