now on Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook

Just for fun, I’ve created pages for myself on Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook.

If you’re already following updates here at via RSS or just by checking in directly, then there’s really no reason to follow those pages as well — they’ll just be tracking updates here.

I started the pages mostly as a way to, I hope, draw completely new visitors here (hopefully, new visitors who will recognize that the spirit here is of intelligent conversation about movies, TV, online video, and related pop culture matters). Traffic always takes a dive in the summer, and that happened again this summer, but it has not bounced back come autumn like it has in other years. Part of that had to do, I think, with the major reduction in pank rank that Google dealt me a while back (for reasons I cannot fathom). That’s just been fixed, and the site’s pank rank is back at a point where it should start being reflected in an upswing in traffic again.

But I’m not afraid to admit that I’m kinda scared that that alone won’t be enough to get the traffic back up to where it had been… and growing beyond that. Hence, this experimentation.

We’ll see what happens.

After the election, most thinking Americans will have a huge void in their surfing lives – since we all spend hours compulsively following the drivel that is election coverage. I’d look for a big uptick after 11/4

I sent you a my space friend request. No reason to write this, it’s just I can’t see the U.S. LOM so I can’t moan about it.
Moaning is every Brit’s God given right.

Off Topic but I think you might like it, M.J., there is a zombie satire on E4 right now called Dead Set. You might want to take a look…
