question of the day: What movie are you most looking forward to in February?

As of this writing, 8 movies will open wide in North America in the month of February. Which means that even if you’re an active moviegoer and see a movie each week, you’ve still gotta pick and choose (and it’s even worse if you’re in a city on the arthouse circuit, but let’s not make this too complicated).

After a jump, a list of those 8 movies to whet your appetite, or not, as the case may be:
February 5
Dear John (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on May 7)
From Paris with Love (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)

February 12
The Wolfman (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)
Valentine’s Day (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)

February 19
Shutter Island (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)

February 26
Cop Out (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)
The Crazies (trailer) (opens in the U.K. on the same day)

Which of these movies are you most looking forward to in February?

Shutter Island. Not even close.

It’s a toss-up between Shutter Island and The Wolfman for me.

The Wolfman for sure.
Shutter Island, maybe. The book was a bit of a disappointment.

Kind of a blah month, though that’s typical of Feb. From Paris with Love

The Wolfman, Shutter Island, The Crazies. Really the only one I’ll see regardless of MAJ’s review is The Wolfman. That’s right, lady. My policy is that werewolves trump your little communist musings. Yep, I saw the second Twilight movie. I am rethinking my werewolf policy. ;)

The Wolfman and Shutter Island look cool. My wife has something against Benicio, though, so we not get to see that.
My kid just read the Olympian books and really wants to see The Lightning Thief. The chance of that being any good is slim, but I’ll probably end up taking him.

Percy Jackson, Wolfman and Shutter Island (pretty much in that order). Though it really depends on the reviews. A decent average on reviews and I could see any or all of them in the theater. Bad reviews and I’ll likely wait for the rental (unless really bad reviews then I’ll probably skip all together, but I’d rate that unlikely for these three).

Percy Jackson. I like how the books play around with Greek myths, so I’m hoping for a good adaptation. And I like Logan Lerman.

I’m surprised about all the love for Wolfman. They brought in another editor three weeks before its release for a reason.

Shutter Island, followed closely by The Wolfman. I’m with Bill on that one, although I had already figured out to avoid Twilight: New Moon.

Shutter Island, although I’m still mystified as to why it got exiled to February.

Shutter Island #1 and the Wolfman #2 — nothing else interests me much
