This past season of Doctor Who pretty much admitted that Gallifreyans can change gender when they regenerate: in “The Doctor’s Wife” the Doctor talks about the Corsair, who had regenerations as both male and female. And in his first episode, just after he has regenerated, the Eleventh Doctor appears to need to confirm that he is male again.
So now that that subject, long a matter of fan debate, has been cleared up: What would the Doctor have looked like in his various regenerations if he’d woken up a woman? Maybe like this:
