Stand Up Guys (trailer)

It’s Oldfellas. Ever since I got out of the nursing home, I wanted to go back to being a gangster.

Get used to movies like this. We’re only at the beginning of the new trend for oldsters getting pandered to by mediocre movies. By crappy movies, too.

well, things are cyclical like that… we’ve been pandering to 15-25 year old boys since 1975, i guess they’re old enough now that it’s turnaround time.

It’s still demographics: the Baby Boomers are turning into oldersters now, and they’re still the biggest generation, in sheer numbers. And with lots of blockbusters failing (for lots of reasons), Hollywood has to look for a new audience.

“Cause everything new is old again! ;-)

Of course, Hollywood has been making old gangsters movies for years…It’s just been a long while since they’ve made one.

RED was good. But RED did this shtick.

This movie kinda reminds me of Things Change, but with 80 percent more Walken.

I have to say, I’m excited to see anything that gives me a chance to see these three actors work together. If it’s half as entertaining as this interview they did with Roger Ebert, it’ll be worth the price of admission.
