Ah, there’s no sign of forced entry. But the street lights are flickering and birds are going kamikaze on the windows. Fortunately, there’s a guy who has an explanation for them. The truth is terrifying: their house is a magnet for a terrible collection of horror film clichés.
Scott Stewart made the intriguing Priest (which I took a lot of flack for liking), but he also made the ridiculous Legion. So I’m not too hopeful here.

FWIW, you’re not wrong about Priest or Legion.
Saw this trailer in the theater last night, and thought “Boooooooooring.”
Of course, I was at the theater to see Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. I then proceeded to giggle through that entire movie. I turned to Mrs. Dr. Rockestscience and said with a knowing smile, “All I can think right now is’Toilets are always funny.'”
Sometimes I enjoy a hunk of stinky cheese.
Edit: bah, Disqus is eating my HTML. Here’s the source of that line: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqBeGjUQTn8
This is what happens after Cabin in the Woods. A brilliant film manages to put in horror tropes from dozens of films, so now lesser movies are going to try it out.
And toilets are are always funny.
What these people need is an older white male authority figure! (Subversive? We’ve heard of that.)
I thought most alarm systems these days wouldn’t even engage if the doors and windows weren’t locked.
