I saw this last week. It is one of the greatest movies about sports I have ever seen. It is one of the most moving movies of any kind I have ever seen. The reaction in the screening room among a crowd of jaded film critics was unlike anything I have ever experienced before.
This trailer is a fair representation of the film, but no trailer could possibly do justice to the experience of the film.
This movie is going to be huge.
Looks like I’ll want to be there.
Really? I normally can’t stand schmaltzy sports movies. I give them a try when one gets great reviews or makes a ton of money for some reason. In that vein, Moneyball was really darn good, and The Blind Side was manipulative pap.
I’ll give this a try if it’s really that great.
It’s not schmaltzy. At all.
I watched the trailer to the end. Given when I’m starting from in terms of sports films, that’s not bad going.
Huge? Where? Not in America, surely.
I’d like to think so, but perhaps not. Still, the rest of the world is a big place. :->
i saw it also in a screening in LA! LOVED IT!!! :)
