This is going to seem slightly out of place but I want to address it here.

Hollywood, the Male-Gaze is not sexy. It is also as boring as a tired old fart. It is the byproduct of years of evolution that makes our eyes wander. When we find ourselves employing the Male-Gaze we most often give our Id a good scolding. What is sexy, Hollywood, is the Male-Dance. When a man suddenly realizes a woman (or man, but I’m not really qualified to talk about that. I’d appreciate a reply from any homosexual or bisexual readers who’d like to elaborate :)) is actually the most wonderful person he’s ever met (lol) he tries his best to convey his own wonderfulness in the most vague and hilarious way possible. The Male-Dance is easy to spot as the male in question will find he really does like what this wonderful person likes and that he has all along. The sheer manic energy emanating during the Male-Dance is sure to draw attention to the dancer, or at least, he hopes so. The Male-Dance is the primitive Mating-Dance of our evolutionary past turned up to 11, it is a glorious display of affection and is much more sexy than something as cursory as a glance.

All guys will gaze at women at times, but they’ll only dance for people they care about immensely. If they don’t dance then they ain’t no friends of yours.

This is probably complete tripe by the way, I just think dancing is sexy.

Oh yes. Very much so. And for people who like that sort of story and want to watch it again and again, there are lots and lots of them out there already. We have Blu-Ray!

Sometimes I take the thoughtful and witty nature of the community on this site for granted.

Then I read the comment sections on sites like the one this article is posted on. WHY!? Why do I ever read the comments?

Somebody hold me…

FlickFilosopher is just about the only site where it’s safe to read the comments. And even this site becomes troll central after midnight.*

*I’m sure there’s an obvious Gremlins joke, but I’m not going to be the one to make it.
