Yummmm, champagne!
My hair salon had their annual “Customer Appreciation Weekend” this past weekend, which just happened to be when I had my monthly cut-and-color scheduled. I walked in, they took my coat, and offered me a mimosa. I had two of those while my highlights and roots were being taken care of, but turned down the third one because I had to drive to the pet store, and being slightly smashed while doing so is definitely not a good idea. I did enjoy hearing the occasional “pop” of a fresh bottle being opened while I was there.

if it was sponsored by Moet, why did you not have enough alcohol consummed?
As someone once wrote of Highlander 2: “There is a theory that there is a correct level of intoxication for the maximum enjoyment of any given film. While attempting to determine the level for this film, I lost consciousness.”

Who wrote that, and can we give them a knighthood?
I haven’t been able to track it down. I think it was a USENET posting originally.
They stopped serving the free champagne!
