curated: that whole “Captain America is a Nazi” thing is worse than I thought…

Ouch, Marvel…

I was actually thinking of subscribing to the Captain America comics right around the time that the Cosmic Cube restored Steve Rogers’ youth. The plot development that immediately followed — Steve being revealed as Hydra — is exactly why I decided not to.

Meanwhile, I *am* buying issues of the currently female-led Hawkeye and Hulk, as well as the female-led Thor and Ms. Marvel. So, yeah, diversity in Marvel Comics isn’t what’s losing them my money.

Abandoning the storyline and saying “it was all a dream” seems… unlikely to work well. Hastening it to its planned end seems potentially workable.

But anyone working in superhero comics has surely had to get used to whining fans by now, and they may just ignore them on principle.

“Whining fans”? You mean like the middle aged white guy I know who was actually friends with Jack Kirby and thinks this is an abomination? Him?

No, I meant exactly what I said: anyone working in superhero comics has had to get used to whining fans.
