Glossy Hollywood automatons sleepwalk through family dynamics full of forced quirkiness, excruciating cuteness, and phony emotion. Absolutely cringeworthy.

Even when Walken, Pacino, and Arkin are phoning it in — on a rotary phone — they still earn their status as icons.

I laughed so damn hard at these human Looney Tunes…

I was literally in tears for parts of Argo, a purely physical reaction, not an emotional one, to deal with the tension. The only other option would have been to moan out loud, the film is almost that unbearably nerve-wracking.

Take a look back at an old trailer… Man, fantasy animation has moved on a bit since 1982, has it not? Voice acting, too. Dear oh dear, but the dialogue is cringeworthy today, isn’t it?
