MaryAnn wearing a red nose on Katonah Avenue in the Bronx

It’s almost over! Red Nose Day is winding down! I won’t promise I’ll stop bugging you to make donations to Comic Relief after today — I may keep that up over the weekend and into next week — but I promise that I will stop assaulting you with terrible photos of me wearing my red nose all over New York after today.

Here I am in my own ’hood of Woodlawn, on the main drag, Katonah Avenue. That pub, Behan’s, in the background? That’s “Marty’s,” the pub where some of the action in my screenplay Bronx Cheer takes place. Now that you’ve gotten some of the screenwriter’s commentary track on an imaginary DVD, donate some dough (and maybe win some cool Red Nose Day gear from me).
Please support my foolishness (both in wearing a red nose on a public street and for writing screenplays that’ll never get produced) by donating £5 (or whatever you can) to help combat poverty all over the globe via Red Nose Day/Comic Relief.

Red Nose Day is a British event, but you don’t have to be in the U.K. to give money, and you don’t have to give a lot: even one pound will make a difference.

Please donate via my fundraising page at Red Nose Day.

It is amazing to me that you can do these with a straight face.

Off to make a quick donation.
