Olympus Has Fallen mini review
A vile propagandistic action flick that shamelessly indulges fears of terrorism while also failing on a basic narrative level.

Smart, stylish horror flick, though a standout more for its elegant performances than any original scares.

I didn’t think we were making movies like this anymore. Very near future. Hard science. Nothing fantastical. Space geekery galore, gorgeous and authentic.

Most of it makes no sense at all, but who cares? This is cheerful ridiculousness pulled off with panache.

Brit Marling never knows what to do with her great ideas. She runs them right up to a moment when all that electric potential zaps itself out of existence in a flash.

Has no guts of any kind: it has absolutely nothing to say, and it takes a long, dull, circuitous route to get to that nothing.
OMG, is this supposed to be this funny?

A Star Trek for our times. Very much for our times. Which means there’s little hope to be found here…

Postcard-pretty, unusual for a science fiction flick, but shockingly derivative.
My heart is so heavy after this film. So heavy with this film.
