This isn’t a children’s movie… and yet it kind of is, too, with its odd mishmash of social realism, action thrills, misplaced comedy, and simplistic drama.
I appreciate that many people have many problems with this movie, but I confess that I don’t quite understand them…
People sitting around looking at books? How does that become cinematic? But this is tougher: a movie about secrets.
