Office Christmas Party movie review: messtivities
Hangover lite, with even more tepid notions of what constitutes debauchery, plus a true dedication to strained contrivance.

Callous, crass, unpleasantly smug. Supposes it’s being edgy because its protagonist swears a lot, but it’s like a child saying bad words just to be naughty.

Joyous and exhilarating. A fresh and funny animated adventure that subverts genre clichés at every turn.
Mike Judge doesn’t do anything for no reason, but there’s a depressing sense of aimlessness, or not-knowing-what-he-wants-to-say-ishness to *Extract8 that is extra disappointing coming from this filmmaker, who has been so pointed and so clever up till now.
