I could have gone my whole life without knowing this, but it turns out that Bibleman is a bona fide superhero, “a human transformed by the Word of God”:

Well that's the problem, see. He's already defeated five of my deadly sins. I was trying to come up with an evil plan to stop him using the sin of vanity but just LOOK at him!
Purple tights, with darker purple pads above the waist, Yellow plastic pads on his legs and forearms. Finish the combo with a matching purple cape and a big-ass fly for Jesus. This man _has_ no vanity! He's even taunting me with those yellow horns on his helmet.
But mark my evil words! Gluttony will be his downfall! If Adam West couldn't suck it in neither will Bibleman! Then his yellow nerf bat will be mine! MINE! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
