Awww, it wasn't terrible. (Though, I do wonder how much of the Selena/Demi BFF'edness is Disney-hype'd.)
And, you *have* to give credit for Disney trying to add another dimension to their Disney Princesses empire, where the girls learned that "it's not about what you are, but who you are and what you can offer to the world."

screw that! more girls offering themselves up for others crap! you never see a "boy's" movie with a tag line like that. they always get action, and "the adventure of a lifetime!"
i want my nieces to have adventures -- not be nice princesses offering whatever they are to the "world"!

Intelligent people don't mock movies they haven't seen. Come on, people, seriously?
Not the best lil movie I have ever seen but surely not "dangerous" and trying to prove that there's more to the princess concept than the fancypants, selfishness aspect.
Disney makes plenty of movies representing other sides of womanhood and responsibility and adventure.
Watch the movies, let your kids watch them, then make the judgments and tell them what bothered you. It works out better than banning.
My 5yo kid still watches Hannah Montana, enjoys it, criticizes it, and has no interest in the merch or concert tix.
It just doesn't have to be so black & white.

My sister's daughter just loves being called a princess but then she also loves The Powerpuff Girls.
For that matter, she also loves the Star Wars movies and I'm pretty sure that there's a princess or two in those movies...
