question of the weekend: What is the most unforgivable fashion faux pas?

short-sleeved dress shirt

Brown business suits? White after Labor Day? Socks with sandals? We’ve all had that experience of walking down the street minding our own business only to be assaulted by the specter of stripes paired with plaid, and then the day is ruined.

Am I a slave to high-fashion? I am not. Do I commit fashion crimes? Constantly. That doesn’t mean I can’t be as catty about someone else’s clothes… at least in my own head. Admit it: You’re the same way, too. So:

What is the most unforgivable fashion faux pas?

For me, it’s men’s short-sleeved dress shirts. I simply find the concept oxymoronic.
