question of the day: What automatically turns you off in a movie trailer?

Today’s question: What automatically turns you off in a movie trailer?
Cathy, who suggested this one, says:

For me, it’s anyone yelling “Go!” or “Run!” Or even whispering it, for that matter.

There’s also this, from Karl:

A couple of us found ourselves wondering who “invented” the inescapable slow-motion-walk-away-from-a-massive-frikkin’-explosion-without-flinching-cuz-they’re-such-a-badass-that-shrapnel-and-flying-debris-can’t-touch-them shot? I can’t recall the last time I saw a trailer without it, can you?

I mention that because it’s one of my turnoffs. Another is a trailer for a rom-com or a chick flick — which is intended to appeal to women — in which women act like morons. I also hate when the entire plot of the movie is in, or appears to be in, the trailer.

What’s yours?

What about the Muppets? That started off plenty serious…
