question of the day: What science fiction or fantasy food would you like to eat?

A Feast of Ice and Fire

I learned of two things recently that whetted my appetites for food and fantasy. The first was the event that Implausible blog tells us about, wherein Londoners sampled science-fiction food including food pills and “Pan Galactic Garage Blasters” (not sure if that’s a huge mistake or some sort of joke). The second is the about-to-be-published cookbook A Feast of Ice and Fire [Amazon U.S.] [Amazon Canada] [Amazon U.K.], debuting on May 29 on both sides of the Atlantic with recipes inspired by Game of Thrones. (Authors Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Sariann Lehrer run The Inn at the Crossroads, where you can find lots of GoT dining ideas.)

These things led me to today’s question:

What science fiction or fantasy food would you like to eat?

I would love to try gumblejack, which Colin Baker’s Doctor once rhapsodized about — in the Doctor Who story “The Two Doctors” — as “the finest fish in the galaxy, maybe the universe.” Sounds yummy.

You? Make us drool with hunger…

Thanks to Drave for the heads-up on the cookbook.
