QOTD: What institution or historical event would you mash up with what TV show or movie?

Oh, my. This made me laugh:

I can just imagine the machinations and soap opera of the Vatican done up Dallas style. I would also watch a series about the Vatican in the style of The Sopranos.

In that spirit:

What institution or historical event would you mash up with what TV show or movie?

Friday fun!

Speaking of the Vatican: If you liked House of Cards, you’ll love House of Cardinals.

Not a mash-up…yet..also speaking of the vatican: http://adoptacardinal.org/

Remember, a cardinal is for life, not just a conclave.

I don’t suppose a mashup of Mad Men and The Americans counts.
After all, who among us would not want to see Jon Hamm and January Jones playing undercover KGB agents in Cold War era America?

Well, mashing The Big Lebowski and Star Wars seems intriguing to me. For instance:

The Luke:Han, ya know, it’s Greedo, so his toe slipped over the line a little, big deal. It’s just a game, man.

Han Solo: Luke, this is a league game, this determines who enters the next round robin. Am I wrong? Am I wrong?

Greedo: Yeah, but I wasn’t over. Gimme the marker Luke, I’m marking it 8.

Han Solo: [pulls out a blaster] Greedo, my friend, you are entering a world of pain.

The Luke: Han…

Han Solo: You mark that frame an 8, and you’re entering a world of pain.

Greedo: I’m not…

Han Solo: A world of pain.

OR

(in Darth Vader’s study)

The Luke: Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not “Mr. Skywalker”. You’re Mr. Skywalker. I’m the Luke. So that’s what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Lukeness, or uh, Luker, or El Lukerino if you’re not into the
whole brevity thing.
