I’m off to a couple of press screenings this morning at the Tribeca Film Festival, but when I get back early this afternoon, I’m gonna tell ya exactly how awful Nicolas Cage’s new movie Next is. Stay tuned…

I don’t know about movies opening, but I did just discover that they’re making another direct-to-video sequel to The Sandlot. What the hell? They made a wonderful movie in 1993 that went beyond the usual kids’ movie formulas, and then two years ago they made a pointless retread. Now they’re doing another sequel, only they’re throwing in a body-switch plot and an evil corporate villain. No! Go away!
