There are two layers to this signage – I can just about make out he lower layer at the bottom where it says “citrate of magnesium”. This was (and still is) used as a powerful laxative. Just searching for this and the other words I can make out has brought me to a site with some interesting information about this sign: http://communicatescience.com/zoonomian/2012/12/08/a-ghost-of-medicinal-misnomers-past/
