‘Doctor Who’ not-blogging: “Midnight”

And now I have renewed my hatred for Russell T. Davies, too, for doing mean things to the Doctor, and for being such a fantastic writer that he makes me want to give up writing. No, wait! I should think of it more that Davies, like Steven Moffat, has thrown a gauntlet down in front of me.

Just magnificent. Maybe I was wrong about “Silence in the Library”/“Forest of the Dead” winning 2009’s Hugo. It might be this episode. It’s like a lost episode of The Twilight Zone. It’s like if Hitchcock made sci-fi. It’s brilliant.

Only three more episodes to go. Waaah!

*SPOILERS*
Don’t know if I’d call it brilliant, but it was definitely one of Davies’ best. A couple of the plot points were kinda forced, but the panic of the crew was pretty great — especially with how gorram creepy that entity was… it didn’t actually DO anything to them, but I felt their frustration and fear and can’t say I wouldn’t have reacted the same way. This was a pretty impressive episode.

What was, without a question, brilliant was David Tennant. Just amazing…I won’t say more until it has aired in the US… :-)

OMG – thought I would hate it (even if it was by RTD) but Sir I bow to your imagination and intellect…. And I know that I don’t have to say it here but aren’t David Tennant’s eyes amazing, they say even more than Russell’s script can. WOW:)

Molto ben–er, sorry.

Yes, this was one creepy episode. Never expected to see RTD turn out something creepier than Steve Moffat’s work.

House meets Twilight Zone. Who would have guessed RTD pulling that kind of combination off.

NOT SPOILERS

Apparently everyone–er, everything–lies.

None of this was meant to happen.
