oh, i’m sure — londoners are just as impressed by taxi ads as new yorkers are by the ones we see on the yellow cabs. (i cannot even recall one to mind, though i see them all the time). what i am actually wondering, seriously, is who in Nashville’s tourist board thought this was a good idea?

Well, the ad is promoting Nashville as the home of country music, and there seems to be a growing market for country music in the UK. So there’s that.
