
One last square from the Open Garden Squares Weekend a couple of weeks ago. I saved my favorite for last. (Click here for a larger version of the photo above.)

The Garden Barge Square near Tower Bridge is a group of residential barges that have been planted on their roofs and other outside areas. Lashed together, they form a glorious and very unusual garden park.




Because these are residential barges where people live, the garden is not generally open to the public, so this was a unique opportunity to see what turned out to be one of the most wonderful places I’ve visited so far in my four and a half years in London.
