I… I don’t know… is it… is it satire? Can we suss out how many levels of hypertextuality we have working here… 1) cartoon spoof (satire) of an 2) movie (adaptation) of a 3) comic mini-series (refraction) based on a 4) genre (Batman, et al.) which itself is based on even further antecedent texts…

Is it wrong that I like it?

This is absolutely spot on satire of just how bad Watchmen could’ve been. Kinda like the American version of Akira spoof that’s on youtube.

Is it too much for me to hope that they get this on DVD release and treat it as cartoon comissioned by Veidt?

I couldn’t continue watching it as my brain exploded at the point they had Silk Spectre pretend she was Jem. Did they have guy jumping out of exploding helicopters with parachutes deployed?
