The Queenhithe Mosaic is a newish (circa 2014) installation on the north bank of the Thames, between Southwark Bridge and St. Paul’s Cathedral, on what is apparently the only remaining Anglo Saxon dock on the planet.

I like how the artists have left room in case something truly amazing happens between now and 2100 so that can be added.

I wish they’d stop using the Stratford man’s picture.
please explain.
If you had to prove that the apparently virtually illiterate, non-book owning man of Stratford was William Shakespeare the playwright, you’d have damned little evidence on your side. Since almost everything in his life (Hamlet is a retelling of his life story), his education, his status in England, and the quotes underlined in his bible, Edward De Vere (the 17th Earl of Oxford) is a much more likely candidate.
Please don’t bring this here.
I was asked.
it’s true. i asked and i should have known better just from the phraseology.

That was a great bit.
I am afraid that I didn’t get the joke about the surprise guest in the clip they played toward the end. The surprise guest was obviously someone famous — but not obviously for Shakespearean plays — but I still did not recognize him. My bad. As many British movies and TV shows I’ve seen, I should have known who he was but I didn’t.
Hard to tell if you’re joking or not…
I wish I was but I honestly did not recognize him. Perhaps because I’m more familiar with his appearance in earlier times.
If I don’t recognize someone, I just say, “Can you believe that’s Meryl Streep?!”
Here’s his IMDB link.
