If you love vampires but hate Twilight, then you must must must check out the BBC’s Being Human (if you haven’t already). The just-wrapped third season of the show was totally enthralling, not for the least which reason is that the characters — 120-year-old vampire Mitchell, werewolves George and Nina, and ghost Annie — are as infuriating as they are intriguing. They screw up, they do stupid and selfish things… but they also do amazing selfless thing for their friends as they try to live as normally as they can as supernatural beings. And how it ends! No spoilers… but I absolutely cannot wait to find out where Series 4 takes the characters. The ones that survived Series 3, that is.
