Bechdel Test

is there any downside to rating films as to whether they pass the Bechdel Test?
Seems to me that the only possible “downside” to such a rating would be the discomfort some people may experience when they are suddenly forced to see how poorly women are represented on the big screen.

You’ve heard of the Bechdel Test, I’m sure: the measure of whether a piece of pop culture is just minimally feminist by featuring at least two women who talk to each other about something besides a man. I love that Caprica passes this test with flying colors in every episode.
