I love the Minions and I thought they totally deserved their own movie. But I was wrong. Or, at least, this movie is not the movie they deserve.

Winners are indicated. I got 16/24. Pretty good, if I may say so myself.

Have you been paying attention to what the movies have been saying — what the movies have really been saying — all summer? Here’s a refresher.

Maybe audiences are agreeing with my take on the film as pretty despicable itself…

In an almost terrifying reversal from the first film, this is crude, racist, and sexist, in entirely well-worn ways. (But the Minions are still funny.)
I’m not ashamed to say I laughed my head off at this.
