I think we can agree that Star Wars is Lucas’s property to do whatever he wants with. But there must come a point at which Star Wars no longer feels like something the fans want to embrace.
It sounds like Hall is saying, however, that we should all have run out opening weekend to see Skyline — or any movie we suspect will be garbage — because we owe something to Hollywood! Which is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard.
Inception has finally arrived, and now we’ll see if audiences feel the same way about it as critics do: reviews range from pretty good to rapturous, with only a few detractors (and not just Armond White, either!)
